You will review the operations and features of your compact digital camera (be sure to bring your camera
manual). During the class, you will learn the language of digital photography and how to get the best photos
from your point & shoot camera. DIVERS STAY OVER for the underwater portion and learn the optimal settings
for U/W shooting & tips on getting beautiful images from the world below.

You will learn camera operations and features, how and when to choose the various shooting modes, and gain
tips for improving all of your photos. Bring your camera’s owner’s manual as we take the mystery out of all the
buttons and settings. Learn the language of digital photography and how to get the best photos from your SLR.
Intermediate SLR $40.00
March 18th OR May 27th 6:30pm - 9pm
We will discuss the components of exposure, when and how to shoot in the manual modes, learn how to read
and interpret your camera’s light meter, as well as discuss shooting in RAW vs Jpeg. There will be a discussion
about choosing additional lenses, filters, tripods, external flashes, etc.
Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac & Windows
Learn how to organize & fix your photos as well as how to create lovely composites using this incredibly powerful yet affordable program. This modular course will take the mystery out of basic image editing so you will quickly be able to produce amazing results. To participate, you must have your own laptop & version 8 of the program installed on your computer (you can download a 30-day free trial to use in the class).
